Welcome to Tywi Health, an independent weight loss clinic based in Carmarthen. We pride ourselves in an evidence-based and holistic approach to weight loss. Dr Evans began her career in healthcare as a Pharmacist in 2005 before earning her postgraduate medical degree from Swansea University in 2009. She completed her GP training in 2018 and now works as a GP Partner at Meddygfa Tywi, Nantgaredig. Alongside her role in the practice, she works as an appraiser for Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) and a salaried doctor at the Urgent Primary Care Centre and GP Out of Hours within Swansea Bay Health Board. Our GP-led weight loss service offers personalised, medically supervised support to help you achieve and maintain a healthy weight safely. There are six different doses of Mounjaro (Tirzepatide). The dose and duration required will vary from person to person , depending on their need and specific goals. All eligible patients start on the lowest dose, and the doctors will titrate up, based on response and need. Each Mounjaro ‘pen’ (the appliance that administers the drug) provides enough medication for four doses (one dose per week).
