About the blend

This pen holds two compounds in a fixed 2:1 ratio, and the reason they are paired is that they approach the same gland from two different doors.

Ipamorelin

is a pentapeptide growth hormone secretagogue that acts on the ghrelin receptor, GHS-R1a. What set it apart from earlier secretagogues such as GHRP-6 and GHRP-2 was selectivity: published work reported growth hormone release with comparatively little disturbance to cortisol, prolactin and ACTH, and a pulsed rather than sustained release pattern.

CJC-1295 no DAC

, also written Modified GRF (1-29), is a different animal entirely. It is a shortened 29 amino acid GHRH analogue carrying four amino acid substitutions, each one there to blunt breakdown by the DPP-4 enzyme that dismantles natural GHRH within minutes. It acts on the GHRH receptor.

What “no DAC” actually means:

DAC stands for Drug Affinity Complex, a chemical group that binds the peptide to serum albumin and stretches its half-life out to days. This pen does

carry it. Without DAC the compound clears in roughly half an hour, which is why the research literature describes it as producing a short pulse rather than a sustained elevation. If you are looking for the long acting version, this is not it.

The rationale for combining them is receptor arithmetic. One acts on the GHRH receptor, the other on the ghrelin receptor, and studies examining GHRH analogues alongside secretagogues have reported a greater combined response than either produces alone. Both are short acting here, which is the point of the pairing rather than an oversight.

Where the evidence sits:

neither compound holds a medicines licence in the UK or anywhere else. Ipamorelin reached early clinical investigation before development was abandoned. CJC-1295 no DAC has not been through clinical development at all, and research on the combination specifically is limited. It is supplied here strictly as a laboratory research chemical.
