Tracy undertakes phlebotomy, (taking blood) blood pressure monitoring and health education. Carries out ECGs. Dressing of wounds, suture removals, flu, pneumococcal and shingle vaccinations. Measurements (i.e. height and weight) for chronic disease clinics. Pre-Diabetes checks i.e. runs clinics for phlebotomy, (taking blood) BP and health education. We receive a high number of requests to provide ongoing bloods and monitoring after patient have private bariatric surgery. After discussion with our LMC and MDU this is not a service we are indemnified to provide and does not form part of our NHS services. We can provide the same care to private patients as those who had surgery through the NHS route, which is to prescribe some medications, but any blood test monitoring is done via a specialist for the first 2 post operative years. If you have had private bariatric surgery any ongoing blood tests and monitoring will need to be done privately.
