Frontier Biopharmaceutical (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. was established in 2013 and landed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board (688221.SH) of the Shanghai Stock Exchange in October 2020. It is a national specialized new "small giant" enterprise and a national high-tech enterprise. The company focuses on the R&D, production and sales of innovative drugs that do not meet major clinical needs, and has established a complete system covering molecular design, pharmaceutical research, clinical, registration, large-scale production and quality control. The technology platform includes three major directions: long-acting polypeptides, small nucleic acids, and high-end generic drugs/patches; its independently developed national class 1 anti-HIV new drug, albuvirtide ® (the world's first long-acting HIV-1 fusion inhibitor), was approved for marketing in 2018. The company has built high-end green APIs and preparations production bases in Jiangning, Nanjing and Qihe, Shandong in line with China's NMPA, US FDA and EU EMA standards to serve the global market. In 2024, the production base passed the FDA on-site inspection with "zero defects", and the Nanjing formulation base passed the GMP compliance inspection.
